Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1, 1995, in Berkeley California) is an actor. She is an actress famous for Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House (2022).
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she's been pursuing. When she made her debut, she was just nine years old aged in Sergio Citti's film Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played the lead role in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. She played Nanni's daughter the next the following year on Red Wood Pigeon. It was the beginning of her professional career when it was launched with Close Friends, written and directed Michele Placido. Cannes International Film Festival received the film with great awe. Daria Argento as well as her mother and one the actors who was a favorite of Argento's, Daria is an anorexic teenage girl who was searching for the killer of her parents Trauma. Asia was in Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed together with her father. Two of them were Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. In 1993, she starred alongside the Perdiamoci of Carlo Verdone di vista. She performed the role of Arianna an physically handicapped girl. This was an intricate and difficult character that earned she the David di Donatello award for the the best actress. She was also an important role in the international cast for Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again won her a David di Donatello and a Grolla d'oro. Asia began directing in 1994. She released two shorts and an episode from the film De Generazione. In 1996, she produced an documentary on her father, and AbelAsia which was a documentary about the famous director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. Asia made her debut as a director in 1999 when she directed Scarlet Diva. It was also the lead actress and screenwriter. In May of 2000, the film became available to the public worldwide. This film was awarded at the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York.
